This years Yukon Quest Alaska will be remembered as one of the hardest trails in the races history.
Before the race, several teams withdrew due to the extreme low temperatures and many teams were forced to scratch before completing the 300 mile race from Fairbanks to Circle and then back to Central.
The Nautique boys managed to hold on to their teams thoroughout the race and put on a sterling performance despite the bad trail conditions and the bad weather.
Deke finished a respectable 5th place and had a fantastic race.
Jonah, received the Red Lantern Award and it ws noted that he went above and beyond what was expected of him, when he helped out YQA200 musher Jody Potts-Joseph.
Jody got into a bit of trouble with some nasty overflow and taking on the steep angle of the summits.
Jonah did a fantastic job, and we are all very proud of him.
We look forward to his next race.
